snowdonia winter conditions

so first trip out for this winter had a full day climbing with chris
an excellent day ice a bit thin but plenty of frozen turf for placements but not much protection
some very long runouts ......... scary stuff hehe all in all top day out and hoping conditions hold out till next time i can go

Winter is just around the corner

so here we are another good summer of climbing and now counting the days down till the first snows in snowdonia. conditions in scotland sound very good and the first snows have fallen in chamonix town centre, higher up on the slopes looks very good indeed.
so the question is ..... what are your plans for the season routes, trips, training etc

Single or twin ropes

So here we go, who likes single and who prefers twin ropes ?????? pros, cons for different style, routes, climbing etc. Old school new style lets open a can of worms.

Faling on small pro !!!!!!!

Have you fallen on small pro or do you think of it as peace of mind placements and not really gonna take a fall? Interesting subject i think, so feel free to chip in with anything. If you have fallen on small pro did it hold, did it rip? etc etc etc ..........
